Tech 1.06 Wireless Devices
William Jessup University shall not fail to administer policy and procedures that guide the connection of wireless devices to University network resources that ensure data and systems remain protected from unauthorized access or misuse.
There are several types of devices that operate at a frequency that conflicts with the Jessup wireless network. Below is an example list of devices that are prohibited from use:
- Wireless Access Points
- Wireless Routers
- Wireless A/V senders
- Wireless Speaker systems
- Wireless Video Cameras
- Wireless Printers
- Any device that provides Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) services or Network Address Translation (NAT)
Jessup IT reserves the right to disconnect or electronically limit any wireless device that conflicts with the Jessup wireless network.
