If you think you or someone you know may be struggling with an aspect of wellness (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc.) please fill out a care form so that we can be in contact with you and offer up some resources that might help.
Tip 1: Ask for Help
It is NORMAL for humans to struggle, but you do not need to struggle alone. The greater support system you have the more likely you are to succeed in all your endeavors.
Tip 2: Drink water
When your brain and body are dehydrated it is easy to feel unwell
Tip 3: Eat a balanced diet
If you struggle with a type of eating disorder it can be a challenge on your own to find a balanced diet. We have some resources available in the wellness center. Eating a balanced diet allows our brains to function well. Make sure you get lots of protein, carbohydrates, and some fresh fruits and veggies.
Tip 4: Exercise
Doing some physical activity can help your brain and body get back on track in releasing the proper chemicals at the right time. This does not mean you have to go to CrossFit and suddenly become a body builder to get your brain back on track. Simply going for a 15-30 minute walk outside will help get some blood flowing and get your brain and body balanced.
Tip 5: Mental Health
Mental health can often be impacted by a variety of different factors. Sometimes a fix can be as easy as eating a snack, drinking some water, or taking a walk. There are of course some cases where outside help is needed. This does not make you a burden or weird or awful. Asking for help even when it is hard can make more of a difference than you may be able to understand right now. So keep holding on, and if you think you might need more help, ASK
